Lens treatments and coatings are available as additions to a pair of lenses and are also more commonly seen bundled into lens products for convenience and maximum benefit to your eyes. Here in Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley we live at a higher elevation and this strongly affects what our eyes are exposed to. These special added coatings can be built into the lens during the lens manufacturing process
Common Lens Coatings & Treatments:
- UV Protection In the light that the sun gives off there are harmful rays known as.UV rays. These UV rays can be harmful to the eyes leading to damage. Having lenses that block 100% UV help to ward off various eye conditions and damage will go a long way in preventative eye care. .

- Blue Light Blocking Science is learning more about problems from blue light. Blue light blocking lenses & coatings reduce blue light being absorbed by your eye. It’s been discovered that blue light which is unnaturally being emitted from digital devices can cause eye strain and disrupted your natural sleep cycle. Science is also exploring the consequences of blue light exposure and the increased incidence of macular degeneration.
